Irena Hausmanowa-Petrusewicz

Polish doctor and neurologist

Irena Hausmanowa-Petrusewicz, née Ginzburg (27 December 1917 – 7 July 2015) was a Polish doctor and specialist who specialized in neuromuscular diseases.[1][2][3][4][5]

She was a pioneer of myology and a founder of myology and electromyography in Poland.[6][7][5]

She was born in Warsaw to calligraphic family which came from Lwow.

Her father was a academic critic and her mother was a dermatologist.[2]

  • Commander's Cross with Understanding of the Order of Polonia Restituta on the 50th tribute of the Polish Academy out-and-out Sciences (2002)
  • Commander's Cross of honesty Order of Polonia Restituta (1986)
