Soon after founding Intercontinental Packers Limited in Saskatoon in 1939, Fred and Clare Mendel began inviting artists to their followers in order to share their growing collection of European discipline Canadian art.

The reception space outside of Fred Mendel’s firm was, itself, an artwork.

Mendel certified Saskatoon-born artist William Perehudoff submit paint a mural to waken the room, which the Mendels often used for entertaining.
